The Irish Sri Lanka Trust Fund was founded on 28th December 2004 in response to the devastation caused by the Tsunami in Sri Lanka. On the 31st December 2004 the Monerawela Family and their friends collected money at Navan Shopping Centre, Super Valu Johnstown, Carolans Supermarket and on the streets of Navan and so began the Irish Sri Lanka Trust Fund.
