In Galle, hundreds of lives were lost at a bus depot when the tsunami struck.
10 houses are being built there on land purchased by the Fund and these will be
ready by end of June/early July.
When Mrs. Amara Senaratna, a committee
member of the Irish Sri Lanka Trust Fund, visited Galle, she brought
on board a project which the Trust Fund is financing. This project is a
Carpentry & Technical School which is located in the Galle District,
which is under construction at present.
On October 10th The Carpentry and Technical School was offically
opened.
